Join the James River Basin Partnership (JRBP) and Greater Ozarks Audubon Society (GOAS) for a morning of learning and bird watching.
Local author and GOAS member Dorothy Thurman will start the morning by reading her children’s book “Miss Phoebe” then will co-lead a bird walk with JRBP’s Brooke Widmar along the South Creek greenway trail.
Meet in the Sherwood Elementary School parking lot. Dress for the weather and be prepared to walk on a paved trail. Bring binoculars if you have them, otherwise plenty will be available to borrow during the walk.
Experience the Outdoors events are JRBP-hosted under the umbrella of the 100 Hours Outdoors program, which encourages children and families to spend time outdoors during summer break.
