THE DETAILS

Park at Classic Rock Coffee ( 1900 W Sunset St, Springfield, MO 65807 ) then come inside for FREE coffee and a short presentation in the meeting room on the left. Also receive FREE COUPONS for your next visit to Classic Rock Coffee.

Then, let's explore the South Creek Greenway trail with fellow JRBP members along this beautiful, urban 1-mile stretch of restored stream located in Springfield. JRBP Project Manager will discuss the restoration process and project, while demoing kick-netting (a technique used to sample & count macroinvertebrates, while learning about the health of the stream). Bring boots/water shoes if you would like to test your skills at kick-nettting!

Additionally, our expert speaker, Brian Edmond from the Missouri Prairie Foundation, will discuss native plants, pollinators, and more on our leisurely morning stroll!

This urban stream continues to get healthier and more diverse with plants and wildlife each year!

Please no open toed-shoes. We encourage you to bring refillable water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses and a hat.

We can’t wait to see our JRBP members at this tour & stroll.
